The term “Agency Services” shall be broadly construed to include, but be not limited to, the Agency’s conduct in marketing insurance and financial products (including through direct mail advertising and electronic media), providing services for those products, operating pension arrangements, the Agency’s internal management, including compliance with law and ongoing activities, improving services, information segmentation, etc. In accordance with the provisions of Section 11 of the Privacy Protection Act, it is hereby clarified, that in general there is no legal obligation to provide information to the Agency, but it is clarified, that failure to provide information in general, or the provision of incomplete information, may impair the Agency’s ability to provide its services, including may prejudice insurance coverage and/or impact the payment of insurance benefits. In addition to the foregoing, it is clarified, that in the case of certain actions, the transfer of information may constitute a mandatory condition in accordance with the provisions of the law (such as the provision of information for identification purposes under the Prohibition of Money Laundering Act 2000-5769).

  1. Information about others – The provision of information by a user about others, will be done at the risk of the person submitting the information, and subject to his right to provide the information in accordance with any applicable law.
  2. Delivery of information through the Website or any use of it, will be considered for all intents and purposes as agreeing to the Privacy Policy.
  3. The information collected is intended for the purpose of providing the Agency’s services, and the supply of products by the Agency and/or any agent thereof and/or affiliated parties.
  4. It is clarified, that information provided to the Agency may be passed on to third parties for the provision of the Agency’s services (such as the transfer of information to insurance companies and companies managing pension funds or provident funds – for whom the Agency acts as an agent for the purposes of for transferring information to the employer – to the extent that this is necessary and relevant to the provision of the services; to additional services providers required by the Agency; or with your consent to other third parties). For the avoidance of doubt, the Agency may transfer the information to third parties who use it as suppliers, as well as use it for legal purposes or at the demand of any authority, as well as in any case of a merger and/or transfer of activity, etc. It is clarified, that the foregoing does not prejudice use of the information in accordance with the provisions of any applicable law.
  5. It is clarified, that we will not trade in user information, and will not act in violation of the provisions of every applicable law.
  6. You can review the information and request to amend it in accordance with the provisions of the law, by contacting the Agency by email at callcenter@shekelgroup.co.il or by contacting the Agency’s offices.
  7. You ask to be removed from a mailing list and/or direct mail advertising and/or from receiving digital inquiries and offers, by contacting callcenter@shekelgroup.co.il or by clicking on a link in the latest marketing email from the Shekel Group.
  8. The Agency may update the Policy in this document from time to time by means of notice posted on the Website.

Information Security

  1. The information will be retained by the Agency while employing information security measures in accordance with the provisions of the law.
  2. The Agency considers the protection and safeguarding of information to be very important, and it implements measures to secure the information in accordance with privacy protection laws, and the arrangements which are customary in the industry. The Agency adopts security technologies to prevent access to the information by unauthorised parties.
  3. As part of the security measures, arrangements were established for the identification and encryption of the identification data of Website users.
  4. Information security requires user cooperation, and accordingly, users are required to be aware of the dangers, the importance of passwords and their safekeeping for personal use only, providing correct and appropriate means of communication, and any additional customary requirement.
  5. The Website is naturally based on software, hardware, and the Internet, and is exposed to the risks inherent in such systems, including malicious software (viruses, trojans, etc.), eavesdropping on communication lines, hacking by hostile parties, impersonating Agency websites or any of the systems, and other online scams. If the Agency has taken reasonable measures, it and anyone acting on its behalf or on its name will be exempt from any liability for damages caused, in particular when using the Internet, and will not be liable for damages caused as a result of such activity.

Online Fraud

  1. Financial institutions are the targets of attempts to commit fraud by various parties, who will try to infiltrate the Website and your personal details, such as by emailing you from an email address that appears to be or is similar to the Agency’s, requesting identifying information, including via a link to similar websites; We clarify, that the Agency will never ask you to provide your password otherwise than as part of entering the Website. We suggest that you be wary of any such activity, in addition, the following are rules and recommendations regarding privacy protection:
  • We recommend that you avoid using passwords on a public medium (such as shared computers, etc.);
  • Make sure the sender’s address is correct, and does not contain any errors (please note that the impersonating address may include a minor error);
  • Check the content of the message, and make sure it is in a standard version without typos or drafting errors;
  • We recommend typing the URL directly, or check the URL and its accuracy.
  • Pay attention to messages through various apps, and check the links attached to them;
  • It is recommended that you use proven and up-to-date protection software.
  • In any suspicion that identification measures may have leaked and/or any other unauthorised use has been committed, please contact customer service immediately.
