The Shekel Rikon project was established in 2002 by Amit Rikon and is also known as “Shekel of the North”.
Amit Rikon, a graduate in industrial and management studies and an insurance agent, began his career in the industry in 1992 and founded Master-Bit at Phoenix, the insurance agency of the Student Association in collaboration with the Phoenix Company. He then moved to the Shekel Group and set up the venture, which currently has ten employees.
The venture’s customers include companies from various worlds, such as Melanox, Alchem Medical, Plassen Sasa, Tema Plastic Industries and Rivlis Plastro. There is also a respectable representation of the kibbutz industry on the part of Kibbutz Baram, Kibbutz Sasa, Kibbutz Merhavia, Naot Shoes, Naaman Vardinon, as well as start-up ventures and venture capital funds.
